Bio: Even though I now class myself as an out and out carp angler things didn't start out that way. I began fishing local lakes after school, predominantly targeting raoch and tench. It wasn't until one half-term in February while pike fishing that I caught the carp bug. I miraculously landed a 24lb leather on a float fished live bait. Catching that carp changed my perception of angling and my love affair with carp began. These days I tend to base my time purely in pursuit of carp and try and get a night or two in every couple of weeks. I consider myself as a family man, who works a full-time job, and so I always absorb every minute I get at the lake. Since that first carp nearly 20 years ago, i've caught no fewer than twenty UK 40lb plus carp, including a 50lb plus mirror and 50lb plus common, as well as the Wasing Estate's biggest carp and current UK record, known as the Parrot at a weight of 62lb 8oz.

I pride myself on enjoying what I do and never indend that to change.
